Plumbing:
- Drains “chug” like the sound of an emptying soda bottle
- Toilets don’t flush properly
- Slight, persistent running water sound in toilet
- Tapping or banging noises from pipes
- Low water pressure
- Constant or repeated slow draining
- Leakage or occasional mild flooding
Heating & Air Conditioning:
- Excessive noise
- AC or heat pump frequently turns on and off
- Uneven temperatures from room to room
- Increased electricity consumption
- Excessive dust in the home
- A system that is more than 10 years old
Structural:
- Foundation cracks in sheet rock, or exterior brick and mortar
- Doors that slope and/or don’t open and close correctly
- Windows become difficult to open
- Water, mold, rot, water seepage or standing water in basement or crawlspace
- Musty, moldy odor
- Wood surfaces that has become discolored and dull
- Wood grain that has split
- Paint blisters or peels
- Excessive condensation on windows
- Wood decay or damage, or crumbling
